Martinez fueled the Bears to a 2-0 week to close out the regular season, averaging 4.88 kills per set. The junior standout opened the week with a match-high 23 kills and 10 digs in a four-set victory over Sarah Lawrence. He followed that performance by leading all players with 16 kills and adding an ace in a 3-1 win against Mount Saint Vincent, securing the No. 4 seed in the Skyline Championship for the Bears.
Libero of the Week
Joey Toscano, Purchase
Sophomore, Libero; Levittown, N.Y./Division Avenue
Toscano was a defensive anchor for the Panthers during a 2-1 week, extending his streak of double-digit dig performances to six straight matches. He opened the week by recording 10 digs and five assists in a sweep of Old Westbury, then followed up with a match-high 16 digs in a four-set triumph over Brooklyn College. Toscano’s back-row play helped Purchase clinch a conference postseason berth.
Rookie of the Week
Trey DeMeo, St. Joseph’s - Brooklyn
Freshman, Outside Hitter; Barnegat, N.J./Barnegat
DeMeo stepped up in a major way for the Bears, totaling 24 kills and 8 digs across two conference wins. The freshman recorded 11 kills in a win over Sarah Lawrence before turning in an incredibly efficient regular-season finale against Mount Saint Vincent. In that contest, DeMeo hammered down 13 kills on a blistering .524 hitting percentage to help the Bears secure a home playoff match.

Danny Kanner, Purchase - Directed the Panther offense with 48 assists across two wins, while adding 15 kills, 17 digs, and four aces
Trevor Kolar, Manhattanville - Led the Valiants' offensive efforts during the final week of play, including a double-digit kill performance against St. Joseph's-Long Island
Hector Ruiz, Purchase - Continued his dominant offensive stretch, racking up 34 kills across two matches, including a 19-kill effort against Brooklyn College while hitting over .480 on the week
