Over three wins, Ruiz (below) broke out after totaling 21 kills on .563 hitting percentage ... He added 14 digs, an ace and two assists over the course of the three-set sweeps as well on his way to the weekly honor.

New Jersey City University junior outside hitter Luke MacPherson led the Golden Eagles with 29 kills, averaging 2.64 kills per set across three matches; he added 16 digs, five total blocks, and five service aces and knocked down 10 kills while hitting at a .529 clip with four digs and three aces in a 3-0 sweep of Brooklyn College before turning in 15 kills with eight digs, and four blocks in a five-set match with Rutgers-Newark … Purchase College freshman libero Tony Acosta over three wins finished with 14 digs and six assists; during a three-set win over York College, he finished with nine digs … New Jersey City University freshman outside hitter Matt Peralta totaled 17 kills and 18 digs for the Gothic Knights in a perfect 3-0 week.
