Williams (above) takes home his third Skyline Player of the Week after guiding the Golden Eagles to a perfect 14-0 conference mark and the No. 1 seed in this week’s Skyline Conference Championship … Williams finished the week with 15 kills, averaging three kills per set … He added nine digs, three blocks, three assists and two service aces … He matched a team-best 11 kills and finished with seven digs, two blocks and a pair of aces in a 3-0 sweep of second-seeded Ramapo.

Esteva (above) closed out the regular season leading NJCU to a 2-0 mark … In the back row, playing all seven sets, he finished with 22 digs (3.14/set) and was a perfect 33 for 33 on serve-receive, adding two assists and a kill … Esteva, who has been named Skyline Libero of the Week three times this season, began with a match-high-tying eight digs in the 3-0 win at St. Joseph’s-Brooklyn before leading all players with a match-best 14 digs in a 3-1 home victory on Senior Night over Hunter, adding two assists and a kill.

Rookie of the Week

Luke MacPherson, St. Joseph's-Long Island
Freshman, OH; Holbrook, N.Y./Sachem North

The five-time Skyline Rookie of the Week MacPherson (below) paced the Golden Eagles with 18 kills, averaging 3.60 kills per set while hitting at a .531 clip ... He added 11 digs, averaging 2.20 digs per set with four service aces, and finished with a team-high 11 kills to go along with nine digs in a 3-0 sweep over Ramapo … He also turned in seven kills with a .700 hitting percentage in two sets against Mount Saint Vincent, whom the Golden Eagles will face in this week’s semifinal.

Honor Roll

New Jersey City University senior opposite James Bajor needed to see action in just five of the team’s seven sets as the Gothic Knights went 2-0 to close out the regular season; the senior co-captain finished with 27 kills (5.40/set) and seven errors on 54 swings (.370 hitting percentage), adding 14 digs (2.8/set) and six total blocks (1.20/set) … Ramapo grad student middle blocker Connor Charlow recorded 32 kills and led the team with three solo blocks in a 1-3 week (including a league win over Sarah Lawrence) for the Roadrunners, where they went up against No. 2 Vassar and No. 5 Messiah to wrap up the regular season … St. Joseph’s-Brooklyn junior opposite Alex Helfant had 18.5 kills and 9.5 digs in the Bears' 1-1 week; Helfant's 30 kills against Purchase were two shy of matching his own single-match record … St. Joseph’s-Brooklyn junior libero Leonel Bravo brought up a match-high eight digs against New Jersey City, while also recording 16 in a five-set win over Purchase … St. Joseph’s-Long Island freshman libero Joe Pinner finished the week with 11 digs and an assist, collecting a match-best 10 digs in a 3-0 sweep of Ramapo … New Jersey City University freshman outside hitter Victor De Souza, assuming the OH2 role for the Gothic Knights, slid right into place and finished with 17 kills (2.83/set) and five errors on 40 swings (.300 hitting percentage), adding six digs and two total blocks.
