Loren Hernandez, Manhattanville

Hernandez (above) paced the Valiants in their 4-0 week with 52 kills, 17 digs, four aces and a block ... In a sweep of Old Westbury, she collected a team-high 12 kills while digging a ball and contributing on a block … She also had a season-high 20 kills in the win over SUNY Geneseo, adding five more digs … This is her second player of the week nod this fall.
Libero of the Week
Sarah Montefusco, St. Joseph’s-Long Island

Montefusco (above) led the Golden Eagles with 53 digs, averaging 4.42 digs per set ... She recorded 58 service receptions and finished with 19 digs against Sarah Lawrence before turning in 20 digs against Pratt … This is her first libero of the week award this season.
Rookie of the Week
Sarah Rende, Farmingdale State
Freshman, Setter; Wantagh, N.Y./Wantagh
Rende (below) averaged 7.78 assists per set for a Rams offense that collectively hit .270 over their three sweeps ... She passed out 15 assists in limited action versus Yeshiva and then handed out 29 assists while passing eight digs at Maritime before collecting 27 assists, seven digs and two assisted blocks to close the week against Baruch … This is her second rookie of the week honor.

Brittany Breland led the Mariners with 2.86 kills per set over their four matches, including a 12-kill performance (with nine digs) in a home sweep of Mount Saint Mary followed by a double-double effort with 15 kills and 10 digs in a five-set loss at Hunter … Maritime senior outside hitter
