New York, N.Y. - In the 2012 Skyline Conference Preeason Men’s Volleyball Coaches’ Poll, Ramapo outpointed Kean for the top spot in the restructured league in voting conducted by the league's eight head coaches.

This year, the Skyline has added three New Jersey Athletic Conference schools – Ramapo, Kean, and New Jersey City – as affiliate members. The eight-member league will gain an automatic berth in the inaugural NCAA Division III Men’s Volleyball Championship.

Ramapo, coming off an 18-13 season, is led by a pair of stellar sophomores, setter Andrew Balint (9.3 assists/set) and outsider hitter Jeff Jones (2.76 kills/set, .261 hitting pct.). Kean is a talented up-and-coming team of young players that are hungry for an NCAA berth, and Sage also boasts a young, talented squad that comes off a 14-12 campaign, including 7-3 in the Skyline, a third-place finish.

Finishing out the top five in the poll are New Jersey City and Mount Saint Vincent, which had an 8-2 Skyline mark.
