NEW YORK | After capturing the 2025 Skyline Conference Championship, Farmingdale State has been selected as the favorite to repeat in 2026, topping the Skyline Conference Men’s Tennis Preseason Coaches’ Poll with 63 points.
The Rams enter the season following a strong postseason run last spring that culminated in a 4-2 victory over United States Merchant Marine Academy in the Skyline Championship final.
Merchant Marine, last season’s runner-up, was selected second in the preseason poll with 51 points, while Manhattanville University placed third with 45 points.
Yeshiva University and Purchase College, both of which advanced to the Skyline Championship semifinals in 2025, checked in fourth and fifth with 43 and 42 points, respectively.
Mount Saint Mary and Sarah Lawrence tied for sixth with 25 points, followed by St. Joseph’s-Long Island (22) and Mount Saint Vincent (8) to round out the poll.
The 2026 Skyline Conference Men’s Tennis Championship field has expanded with the first-round scheduled for April 27th, with the semifinal and championship rounds on April 29 and May 1, respectively, hosted by the highest remaining seeds..
