Farmingdale State, Manhattanville Advance to Skyline Men’s Tennis Championship Final

NEW YORK | Top-seeded Manhattanville University and No. 2 Farmingdale State College each posted 4-0 semifinal victories on Wednesday to advance to the 2026 Skyline Conference Men’s Tennis Championship match.

Farmingdale State earned a decisive win over No. 3 United States Merchant Marine Academy on its home courts. The Rams secured the doubles point with wins at No. 2 and No. 3, as Kwaku Agyeman and Henri Pothier took a 6-3 decision, while Luke Plana and Emil Sabovic followed with a 6-1 victory.

In singles play, Farmingdale quickly closed out the match in straight sets. Agyeman cruised to a 6-1, 6-2 win at No. 2 singles, Michael Lerman added a 6-3, 6-1 triumph at No. 3, and Jordan Gonzales sealed the match with a 6-3, 6-2 victory at No. 6. Several other matches were left unfinished as the Rams completed the sweep.

In the other semifinal, Manhattanville rolled past No. 4 Yeshiva University with a 4-0 decision in Purchase. The Valiants opened strong in doubles, as Elouan Charretteur and Kazuma Kato earned a 6-0 win at No. 1, followed by a 6-3 victory from Thomas Jouanneau and Derwin Guzman at No. 2 to clinch the point.

Manhattanville carried that momentum into singles, winning all three completed matches in straight sets. Charretteur delivered a 6-2, 6-1 win at No. 3, Kato followed with a 6-2, 6-4 victory at No. 2, and Jouanneau secured the clinching point with a 6-4, 6-0 result at the top flight.
