PURCHASE, N.Y. | Farmingdale State rallied from an early doubles deficit to defeat Manhattanville, 4-3, in the 2026 Skyline Conference Men’s Tennis Championship final on Friday afternoon at the Manhattanville Tennis Courts.
Top-seeded Manhattanville opened the match by taking the doubles point, as Elouan Charretteur and Kazuma Kato earned a 6-2 win at No. 1 doubles before Thomas Jouanneau and Derwin Guzman followed with a 6-3 victory at No. 2.
Farmingdale responded in singles play, winning four of the six matches to secure the title. Devan Melandro, the tournament’s Most Outstanding Player, picked up a key straight-set win at No. 1 singles, defeating Jouanneau, 6-1, 7-5, while Henri Pothier added a 6-4, 6-1 victory at No. 5.
Michael Lerman battled back at No. 4 singles after dropping the opening set, earning a 1-6, 6-1, 6-1 win over Guzman. Danial Zindani then helped seal the championship at No. 6 singles, holding off Sami Badre-Hume by matching 7-5 scores.
Manhattanville received singles wins from Kato at No. 2 and Charretteur at No. 3.
With the win, Farmingdale State earns the Skyline Conference’s automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Men’s Tennis Championship.
