Perlmutter delivered a strong performance in her lone match of the week, leading the Panthers to a win over Brooklyn College. She teamed up for a 6-2 victory at No. 1 doubles, then cruised to a 6-0, 6-3 win at No. 1 singles to complete the sweep.
Rookie of the Week
Martine McGowen, Farmingdale
Freshman; Port Washington, N.Y./Paul D. Schreiber
McGowen led the Rams to a strong start in conference play, earning wins at No. 1 doubles and singles in FSC’s 6-1 victory at Yeshiva. She teamed with Gabriella Loria for a 6-2 win in top-flight doubles over Rina Pollock and Micka Mimoun, then defeated Pollock in straight sets at No. 1 singles, 6-2, 6-0.

Anna Laufer excelled in the first week back in competition, including stellar days versus Baruch and Farmingdale. She helped lead the Macs to victory over Baruch with wins in both singles (6-3, 3-6, 10-8) and doubles (6-2), and captured YU's only point against Farmingdale with a 6-3, 2-6, 10-6 singles win.
