Filippelli turned in a flawless week, going 6-0 across singles and doubles play to help Manhattanville secure the No. 2 seed in the Skyline Championship. The sophomore won all three of her No. 1 singles matches and all three of her No. 2 doubles contests, highlighted by a dominant 6-0, 6-3 victory over St. Joseph’s-Long Island’s top player. She also defeated Mount Saint Mary’s Autumn Strobach and Sarah Lawrence’s Josephine Jackson to close out the week
Rookie of the Week
Martine McGowan, Farmingdale State
Freshman; Port Washington/Paul D. Schreiber
McGowan continued her impressive freshman campaign by going undefeated in both singles and doubles play as Farmingdale clinched the No. 1 seed in the Skyline standings. The first-year standout paired with Gabriella Loria to post three No. 2 doubles wins and added three victories at No. 2 singles, including a clutch 6-2, 6-1 win over Mount Saint Mary’s Peyton Curley to seal the regular-season title for the Rams

Natalia Furchel, Farmingdale State - Went 3-0 at No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles, helping the Rams secure the top seed in the Skyline Championship. Defeated three straight opponents in league play, including Sarah Lawrence’s Josephine Jackson, without dropping a set
Jenifer Lalman, Manhattanville - Extended her undefeated singles record to 8-0, winning both of her No. 4 singles matches and adding a doubles victory as the Valiants closed the regular season with back-to-back Skyline wins
