NEW YORK | The Skyline Conference announced its 2025 Women's Tennis All-Conference teams and major award winners on Tuesday afternoon, as voted on by conference coaches.
Manhattanville University's Adrianna Filippelli was voted Player of the Year, while Farmingdale State College freshman Martine McGowan earned Rookie of the Year honors. Farmingdale State head coach Adam Waterhouse was selected as the Coach of the Year after guiding the Rams to an undefeated 7-0 Skyline record and the top seed in this week's championship tournament.
Filippelli, 2024 Rookie of the Year, capped an undefeated Skyline season (7-0) with an 8-2 overall singles record while also going a perfect 10-0 in doubles. Manhattanville's Ortiz sisters—Amaya and Addison—were equally dominant, combining for a 17-2 singles mark and going 15-2 in doubles play.
Farmingdale State's McGowan impressed in her debut season, posting a 9-4 singles record and four Skyline Rookie of the Week honors. Junior Natalia Furchel was a consistent performer at the top of the Rams' lineup, tallying seven singles wins and six conference doubles victories.
Amelia Perlmutter held down the top singles and doubles positions for Purchase, while St. Joseph's–Long Island senior Natalie Kopala rounded out the first team after a stellar season at No. 1 singles and doubles, finishing 7-2 in both positions.
The second team featured several key contributors, including MacKenzie Gisler, Farmingdale State's career doubles wins leader (51), and Gabriella Loria, who went unbeaten (6-0) in Skyline doubles play. Anna Laufer and Rina Pollock anchored Yeshiva's lineup, combining for 10 singles wins. Allison Goodyear provided consistency for St. Joseph's–Long Island in the top two positions, and Jenifer Lalman remained steady for the Valiants with an unblemished 10-0 singles record.
