Ortiz went a perfect 4–0 on the week, dominating both singles and doubles play to lead the Valiants to another strong showing. The junior opened with a No. 1 doubles victory at Farmingdale State before earning a decisive 6–2, 6–2 win at No. 2 singles. She carried that momentum into Thursday’s match against Bard, collecting wins in both No. 1 doubles and No. 2 singles to stay unbeaten in conference play.

Rookie of the Week

Lalman went undefeated in singles play while adding a doubles win to finish the week 3–1 overall. She outlasted Farmingdale’s MacKenzie Gisler in a thrilling 6–1, 5–7, 1–0 (10–8) decision on Tuesday before pairing with Amaya Ortiz for a No. 1 doubles victory against Bard. Lalman capped the week with a dominant 6–2, 6–0 singles win over Patricia Santos to improve to a perfect 7–0 in singles this season.

Gabriella Loria, Farmingdale State – Went 2–0 on the week with wins in No. 2 doubles and No. 5 singles, helping the Rams to a 4–3 victory over Manhattanville in a battle of Skyline unbeatens
Josephine Jackson, Sarah Lawrence – Posted a flawless 4–0 record, winning from the top flight in both singles and doubles, including a dominant 6–0, 6–0 singles win to close out the week
