Hernandez powered the Valiants’ offense at their weekend tri-match, recording 41 kills (5.13 per set) to go along with 19 digs, two aces, two blocks, and an assist. She opened with her fifth double-double of the season against Plattsburgh, tallying 19 kills and 11 digs, before notching a season-high 22 kills later in the day versus Skidmore.

Libero of the Week

Stephanie Schatzman, USMMA
Senior, Libero; Virginia Beach, Va./Floyd E. Kellam

Schatzman anchored the Mariners’ back row with 60 digs (6.00 per set) across three matches, adding 11 assists and two aces. The senior posted 20 digs in a midweek sweep of Drew, followed with 15 digs against Saint Elizabeth, and closed the week with 25 digs and two aces in a four-set battle at Montclair State.

Rookie of the Week

Carly Soboloski, USMMA
Freshman, Outside Hitter; Peoria, Ariz./Sunrise Mountain

Soboloski continued her strong rookie campaign with 39 kills (3.90 per set) and 32 digs (3.20 per set) over three matches. The freshman delivered back-to-back double-doubles on Saturday, including 11 kills and 14 digs in a sweep of Saint Elizabeth and 17 kills and 10 digs in a four-setter versus Montclair State, while also adding four service aces earlier in the week at Drew.

Honorable Mention

Julianna Simone, Mount Saint Mary – Tallied 30 kills, 46 digs, nine aces, and nine block assists across three matches, highlighted by a career-high eight aces with 22 digs in a sweep of Bard and 17 kills with 14 digs in a comeback win over Southern Maine
Caylin Caballero, Manhattanville – Caballero notched her first two collegiate double-doubles, finishing with 28 kills, 23 digs, three blocks, an assist, and an ace across two matches. She posted season highs of 15 kills and 13 digs in wins over Plattsburgh and Skidmore
Kayla Jennings, Manhattanville – Collected 43 digs, 10 assists, and five aces in tri-match play, including her fourth 20-plus dig outing of the season with 24 against Plattsburgh before adding 19 more versus Skidmore
