CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Championship weekend ended in celebration once again for the Manhattanville University women’s volleyball team. After powering through the Skyline Conference Tournament to secure the program’s fourth consecutive league title, the Valiants were rewarded with a berth in the 2025 NCAA Division III Women’s Volleyball Championship, officially revealed during Monday’s national selection announcement.
Manhattanville will open its NCAA journey in the Cambridge Regional, hosted by MIT, and is slated to face Trinity (Texas) in the first round on Thursday at 2 p.m. The appearance marks the Valiants’ fifth all-time NCAA Tournament bid, continuing an impressive run of consistency under head coach [Coach Name].
The Valiants’ opponent, Trinity, enters with a 22–5 record, earning an at-large invitation after a standout regular season and a 13–1 finish in Southern Athletic Association play. The Tigers were ranked No. 8 nationally in last week’s AVCA/TARAFLEX Division III poll and advanced to the SAA Championship match before falling to Berry.
The Cambridge Regional features a strong field that includes Colorado College, Pacific Lutheran, Franklin & Marshall, Salisbury, Williams, and the host MIT Engineers. Manhattanville and Trinity will take the court for the second match of Thursday’s opening lineup, with regional action continuing through November 22.
Manhattanville heads into NCAA play having won 13 straight matches and posting a 20–7 overall record. The Valiants dominated their conference tournament path, sweeping No. 5 Sarah Lawrence in the semifinal round and rolling past No. 3 St. Joseph’s–Long Island in straight sets to claim the Skyline championship for a fourth year in a row.
