November 20, 2025 | Cambridge, Mass. — Making its fourth straight NCAA Tournament appearance, the Manhattanville University women’s volleyball team saw its 2025 season come to a close on Thursday afternoon, falling to nationally ranked No. 11 Trinity (Texas) in three sets (25–12, 25–12, 25–11) inside Rockwell Cage on the MIT campus.
The Valiants, who entered the NCAA Tournament at 20–8 overall after sweeping their way to a fourth consecutive Skyline Conference Championship, faced a Tigers’ (24–5) squad that hit .485 as a team, committing just five attack errors across the match.
Skyline Tournament Most Outstanding Player Loren Hernandez once again paced Manhattanville with 10 kills, adding six digs and three receptions. Samantha Andriola contributed three kills, 10 assists, and an ace, while Cassidy Fallon and Caylin Caballero each added two kills. Defensively, libero Kayla Jennings collected four digs and served an ace.
The Tigers showcased the form that earned them a top-10 national ranking earlier this season, producing four hitters at .375 or better, including Marissa Drange (.538) and Lauren McCarthy (.462). Setter Kendall DeRivel directed the offense with 14 assists, while Brynn Bishop matched a team-best with three aces.
Manhattanville concludes the season at 20–8, winning its fourth straight Skyline Championship and returning to the NCAA Tournament under first-year head coach Matt Jessen.
