Pavarini opened the season in dominant fashion, recording a triple-double in both matches as Maritime secured wins over Mitchell and Mass Maritime on Saturday. In a five-set thriller against Mitchell, she posted 15 kills, 13 digs, and a match-high 27 assists, while adding five aces. The junior followed with 21 assists, 12 kills, and 14 digs in a 3-1 victory over Mass Maritime. Across the two matches, she averaged 5.33 assists, 3.0 kills, and 3.0 digs per set.

Olivia Casabona, Maritime
Freshman, Libero; Cross River, N.Y./John Jay Cross River
Casabona anchored the back row with a strong defensive showing, averaging 5.11 digs per set as the Privateers opened the season with wins over Mitchell and Mass Maritime on Saturday. The rookie tallied a match-high 28 digs and three service aces in a five-set victory over Mitchell, while also handing out seven assists. She followed with 18 digs in the 3-1 win against Mass Maritime.
Rookie of the Week
Addison Weist, Maritime
Freshman, Outside Hitter; Staten Island, N.Y./St. Joseph Hill
Weist delivered a strong all-around performance on Saturday, helping lead the Privateers to wins over Mitchell and Mass Maritime. Against Mass Maritime, the freshman recorded 14 kills—including seven in the third set alone—while hitting .429 in a dominant 25-13 frame, adding three service aces in the 3-1 victory. Earlier in the day, she posted nine kills and 12 digs in a five-set battle against Mitchell, and delivered a clutch ace to give Maritime its first lead of the decisive fifth set, 10-9, after trailing by as many as five points.

Loren Hernandez, led the Valiants in their season-opening sweep of Western Connecticut State University on Saturday with a double-double, posting a team-high 18 kills while adding 10 digs and providing a pair of block assists in the win… Junior libero
