WOMEN'S TENNIS WEEKLY AWARDS - SEPTEMBER 15

Player of the Week

Allison Goodyear, St. Joseph's - L.I.
Junior; Mastic, N.Y./William Floyd


Goodyear was perfect on the week, going undefeated across singles and doubles play to lead the Golden Eagles to a 3-0 record. The junior posted straight-set victories at No. 2 singles against Baruch, Brooklyn, and Yeshiva, while also teaming up for three doubles wins, including a dominant 6-0 decision versus Brooklyn.

Rookie of the Week

Sarah Schewitz, Yeshiva
Freshman; Cape Town, South Africa./Saint Cyprian


Schewitz was outstanding for the Macs, going undefeated across three matches to help Yeshiva to wins over Mount Saint Mary and Purchase. The rookie posted doubles and singles victories in both Skyline contests, then added wins at No. 3 doubles and No. 4 singles against St. Joseph's-Long Island.

Honorable Mention

Micka Mimoun, Yeshiva – Went 2-0 in both singles and doubles play, helping the Macs earn victories over Mount Saint Mary and Purchase
MacKenzie Gisler, Farmingdale State – Collected two doubles wins and added a singles victory in the Rams' non-conference match at Saint Joseph (Conn.)
