FARMINGDALE, N.Y. | Second-seeded Farmingdale State College outlasted No. 3-seed Yeshiva University Monday in the semifinal round of the 2025 Skyline Conference Men's Tennis Championship, as the host Rams won by a score of 4-2.

With the victory, the two-time defending champion Rams (15-3) advance to the conference final, where it will face the winner of Tuesday's semifinal between fourth-seeded Purchase College and top-seeded United States Merchant Marine Academy. The championship final is scheduled for Friday (May 2), at the highest-remaining seed.

FSC picked up the doubles point over the Maccabees (8-5) by earning victories in the Nos. 2 and 3 flights. The first match to complete was in the third position, where sophomores Kwaku Agyeman and Ty Williams shut out YU's Jacob Pfeifer and Mark Adler. Minutes later, All-Skyline performers Zakaria Ahmed and Vansh Aggarwal closed out doubles play with a 6-2 triumph versus the Macs' David Cattan and Jacob Feit.

Aggarwal was the first singles match to finish, as he bested Cattan in the third flight by set scores of 6-1 and 6-0, giving the hosts a 2-0 edge. After Yeshiva responded with a fifth-flight victory to cut its deficit in half, Ahmed pushed the Rams ahead 3-1, when he defeated Pfeifer at No. 2, 6-1 and 7-6 (7-4 in tiebreaker). 

The Macs pulled to within a 3-2 count with a three-set victory in the sixth slot, before Williams sent Farmingdale State to the championship final with a 6-0, 5-7, 6-3 decision at No. 4 against Israel Bussu.

Prior to the match, Adler received the conference's Elite 19 Award. The Skyline's Elite 19, modeled off of the NCAA's Elite 90 Award, is presented to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative grade point average competing in each of the Skyline's 19 championships. Adler is a senior history major (pictured below with Skyline Associate Commissioner Bobby Ciafardini).
