Sabovic (above) pushed the 73rd-ranked Rams past Purchase, 6-1, with a pair of victories ... Teamed with Ryan Hendel for a 6-2 victory in top-flight doubles over the Panthers' Eli Palagatshev and Suleyman Eminov, before outlasting Palagatshev in the No. 1 singles match, 6-4 and 7-6 (7-4) ... Sabovic's 47 singles victories in his five-year FSC career are the school record, while his 45 doubles wins sit one behind Mark Baker (2019; '21-23) for the school record in that category.

Rookie of the Week

Buquel (above) won all four of his matches to help the Mariners defeat Mount Saint Mary, 6-1, and Hunter, 7-0 ... The rookie played out of both the top flights in doubles and singles against the Knights, earning a 6-1 win at No. 1 doubles and a 6-1, 6-0 victory at No. 1 singles ... He followed that up with two wins at No. 2 doubles (6-0) and No. 3 singles (6-1, 6-2) against the Hawks.

Honor Roll

U.S. Merchant Marine Academy sophomore Brent Mathews won both of his matches in the Mariners' 7-0 home win over Hunter, claiming a 6-0 shutout at No. 2 doubles and then a 6-3, 6-3 triumph at the top flight of the singles competition … Purchase senior Suleyman Eminov over five matches (4-1 overall, 3-1 Skyline) went 5-0 in singles play winning at the No.2 spot in all four Skyline matches and No.1 in the non-conference matchup against Skyline foes; in doubles at the No.1 spot, he went 4-1 with his only loss coming against Farmingdale State.
