Patrick Rau, Sarah Lawrence

Rau continued his strong start to the season with a pair of individual victories and a runner-up finish at the Gryphons’ tri-meet with Mount Saint Mary and Division II College of Staten Island. The senior dominated the 200-yard freestyle by more than seven seconds and followed it up with a first-place finish in the 200-yard butterfly, topping a mixed field that included Skyline and Division II competition. 

Rookie of the Week
 
Joseph Scarola, Mount Saint Mary
Freshman; Wantagh, N.Y. /MacArthur

Scarola opened the week with a dominant performance against Lehman, taking first in the 1,000-yard freestyle (12:42.23), 50-yard butterfly (28.50), and 500-yard freestyle (6:04.36). He followed that effort with three more scoring swims at the Sara


Honorable Mention
Rowan Hayes, Maritime - Hayes sprinted to victory in the 100-yard freestyle (47.42) and 100-yard breaststroke (58.03), while also contributing the breaststroke leg on the 200-yard medley relay that placed second. 
Michael D’Ambrosio, Mount Saint Mary - D’Ambrosio captured the 200-yard IM (2:18.88), 100-yard freestyle (59.60), and 50-yard breaststroke (33.70) in Friday’s meet, then followed with a runner-up finish in the 400-yard IM and two additional top-four efforts in Saturday’s tri-meet.
