Rau (above) won all three of his individual events in a Skyline dual meet, earning victories in the 100 Butterfly and the 200 and 500 freestyle races ... Rau won the 200 Freestyle by over 20 seconds to start his day out with a win, before rounding out his meet with a solid 5:51.52 time in the 500 Freestyle to earn his third and final win.
Diver of the Week
Thomas Cable, U.S. Merchant Marine Academy
Junior, Litchfield Park, Ariz./Verrado
Cable (above) hit four NCAA qualifying marks in the Mariners' two meets with scores of 253.05 in the one-meter dive and 260.25 in the three-meter dive in a home sweep over St. Joseph's-Long Island and Purchase in a tri-meet, and then 333.07 in the one-meter and 362.62 in the three-meter in a road loss at arch-rival Coast Guard.
Rookie of the Week
Edward Mills, Mount Saint Mary
Freshman, Andover, N.J./Newton
Mills (below) earned first place in the 100-yard freestyle at 59.38 against Bard and then at his senior meet he out touched a Delhi swimmer to win the 200-yard freestyle (2:03.79), before taking first in the 500-yard freestyle, too (5:53.52) to cap the week and earn his first RofW this winter.
Honor Roll
Mount Saint Mary grad student Jackson Lerner picked up a first-place finish in the 50-yard freestyle at a time of 24.82, and second in the 100-yard butterfly (59.40); on Senior Day he won the meet's first individual event, the 1000-yard freestyle, with a time of 13:03.75 and went on to win the 50-yard freestyle (24.34) and the 100-yard freestyle (54.69) as well … U.S. Merchant Marine Academy grad student Daniel Scherrer swam the 200 Freestyle in 1:46.02 at a home Skyline tri-meet and then against Coast Guard produced times of 21.00 in the 50 Freestyle, 46.47 in the 100 Freestyle and 51.25 in the 100 Butterfly
