NEW YORK | The Skyline Conference's women's tennis head coaches have voted in the 2022 edition of the preseason coaches poll, with Farmingdale State and Manhattanville sharing the No. 1 ranking followed by reigning champion, Sarah Lawrence.
The Rams, the top seed in last fall’s tennis championship following an undefeated regular season, fell to SLC in the final. Manhattanville, led by head coach Alex Sandri, has a promising, up-and-coming roster in 2022, while the Gryphons will look to build off of the program’s first-ever Skyline crown in any sport in their quest for a repeat.
Purchase, St. Joseph’s-Long Island, Mount Saint Mary and Yeshiva round out the rankings, respectively.
The four-team 2022 Skyline Conference Women's Tennis Championship gets underway with semifinals action on Wednesday, Oct. 19, with the championship final taking place Oct. 23. The conference champion will receive the Skyline's automatic bid to the 2022 NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Championship.
