Men's Outdoor Track and Field 4/24/2022 6:25:29 PM USMMA Men, Farmingdale Women Repeat as Skyline Conference Outdoor Track & Field Champions 2022 Men's Outdoor Track & Field Champions - USMMA Results KINGS POINT, N.Y. - The United States Merchant Marine Academy men and the Farmingdale State women defended their respective titles at Sunday's Skyline Conference Men's and Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championships, which took place at Brooks Stadium & Captain James Harvey Tomb Field on the USMMA campus. Men's Team Scoring: Merchant Marine: 252, Farmingdale State: 209, Mount Saint Mary: 88, Manhattanville: 31 Women's Team Scoring: Farmingdale State: 268, Merchant Marine 130, Mount Saint Mary: 105, Manhattanville: 17 On the women’s side, Khadia Jenkins of Farmingdale was named the Most Outstanding Field Performer as well as Rookie of the Year. Jenkins, from Farmingdale, N.Y., posted first-place finishes in the Hammer Throw (36.74m) and Discus (27.75m) and second-place finishes in the High Jump (1.55m) and Shot Put (10.87m). Teammate Alycia Haynes garnered Most Outstanding Track Performer honors. The junior from Adams Center, N.Y. earned victories in the 800m (2:31.75), 1500m (5:54.16), and 5000m (36:040). Farmingdale head coach Daniela Georgieva was named Coach of the Year. For the men, Aodhan Meyer of USMMA earned Most Outstanding Track Performer laurels. The senior from South Kingstown, R.I. earned gold in the 3000m Steeplechase (10:15.96) and 5000m (35:335) and bronze in the 1500m (4:13.34). The men’s Most Outstanding Field Performer was Michael Delesdernier, also of USMMA. A senior from Metairie, La., he won the Javelin (39.25m), was second in the Discus (27.95m), third in the Shot Put (9.97m), and fourth in the Hammer Throw (24.63m). Jovany Philippe of Farmingdale and Jason Healey of USMMA shared Rookie of the Year honors, Philippe, a freshman from Huntington, N.Y., won the Long Jump (6.41m) and placed second in the High Jump (1.75m). Healey, a freshman from King George, Va., won the 400m (51.43) and was second in the 200m (23.64) and was a member of the winning 4x100m Relay (45.07) and 4x400m Relay (3:31.96) teams. USMMA head coach Kayla Koelbel was named Coach of the Year. First-place finishers receive first-team all-conference praise, while second-place finishers garner second-team accolades.
