NEW YORK | The Skyline Conference's eight head men's tennis coaches have cast their ballots on the 2019 preseason coaches poll, and Yeshiva University is the unanimous choice to sit atop the conference this spring.
Head coach Jon Rubinstein's Maccabees (14-6, 7-0 in 2018) received all seven possible first-place votes (institutions are not permitted to vote for their own team), after winning its fifth-consecutive conference title last spring.
2018 runner-up, the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy (43 pts.) received the remaining first-place vote, while Mount Saint Mary College (33), Farmingdale State (32) and Purchase College, SUNY (25) round out the top-five.
The four-team 2019 Skyline Conference Men's Tennis Championship gets underway with semifinals action May 1, with the championship final taking place the weekend of May 4-5.
