PURCHASE, N.Y. | The 2026 Skyline Conference Softball Championship continued Thursday with Games 3 and 4, as top-seeded Manhattanville and No. 2 Farmingdale State came away with wins to advance in the double-elimination bracket.
Game Three: (1) Manhattanville 8, (5) Old Westbury 1
Manhattanville used a late offensive surge to defeat Old Westbury, 8-1, at Valiants Field.
After Old Westbury struck first with a third-inning RBI single from Aliya Feerick, the Valiants responded in the fourth when Isabella Tansey launched a two-run home run to take the lead. Manhattanville continued to build its advantage with solo shots from Tansey and Alexa Lazur, before breaking the game open with a four-run sixth inning.
Josie O’Leary paced the offense with two hits and two RBI, while Tansey and Lazur each drove in a pair. Emma Foster added a triple and an RBI as part of the Valiants’ eight-hit attack.
In the circle, Jori Wilkendorf earned the win, allowing just one run over five innings. Tahlia Smith closed the door with a two-inning save, striking out five to secure the victory.
(2) Farmingdale State 10, (3) Mount Saint Mary 0 (5 inn.) (Game 4)
Farmingdale State rolled past Mount Saint Mary, with a five inning 10-0 win.
The Rams struck early with two runs in the first and added another in the second before erupting for a seven-run third inning to put the game out of reach. Farmingdale totaled 12 hits in the contest, with multiple players contributing to the offensive outburst.
Madison Sturtz led the way with two hits, including a pair of doubles, while Samantha Stolfi drove in two runs. Alexandra Pole and Emily Lopez each added multi-RBI efforts as the lineup produced up and down the order.
Madison DeMaio was dominant in the circle, tossing a complete-game shutout while allowing just four hits and striking out four.
With the wins, Manhattanville and Farmingdale State continue to advance through the Skyline Softball Championship bracket and will face off against each other tomorrow in Game Five at 10:00 am. Mt. St. Mary and Old Westbury will square off in an elimination game at 12:30 pm.
