Skyline Conference Places Eight on NFCA All-Region Teams

LOUISVILLE, Ky
| The Skyline Conference saw eight student-athletes earn National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Division III All-Region III honors, highlighted by a conference-best six selections from Manhattanville University.

The Valiants were one of just 10 programs nationally to have six or more All-Region honorees, marking the most selections in program history. Manhattanville placed three student-athletes on the First Team and three on the Second Team, while Farmingdale State and St. Joseph’s University, Brooklyn, each added Third Team selections.

Leading the way for the Skyline were Manhattanville’s Jori Wilkendorf, Alexa Lazur, and Josie O’Leary, who all earned First Team All-Region honors.

Wilkendorf anchored the Valiants in the circle, going 20-5 with a 2.00 ERA across 161.0 innings pitched, striking out 79 batters while tossing eight shutouts and contributing to two no-hitters. She also delivered in the postseason, earning wins in both the Skyline Championship and NCAA Tournament.

Lazur, the Skyline Player of the Year, continued her standout campaign by hitting .425 with a .708 slugging percentage, totaling 45 hits, 15 doubles, five home runs, and 31 RBI. She was instrumental in Manhattanville’s Skyline Championship run, earning Most Outstanding Player honors after hitting three home runs in the tournament.

O’Leary rounded out the First Team selections after batting .416, driving in 27 runs, and scoring 29 times, while adding 25 stolen bases as a key top-of-the-order contributor.

Manhattanville added three more All-Region honorees on the Second Team in Emma Foster, Isabella Tansey, and Breanna Ochoa.

Foster hit .390 with a .483 on-base percentage, scoring a team-high 52 runs while adding 31 stolen bases, one of the top marks in program history.

Tansey earned her second straight All-Region selection, batting .381 with 39 RBI, 36 runs scored, and a team-high 19 doubles to go along with four home runs and 18 stolen bases.

Ochoa made an immediate impact in her freshman campaign, hitting .352 with a .421 on-base percentage, scoring 37 runs and driving in 31, while adding speed on the bases and strong defensive play in the middle infield.

Farmingdale State pitcher Madison DeMaio earned Third Team All-Region honors after a standout junior season in the circle. DeMaio went 18-11 with a 2.79 ERA, striking out 110 batters over 158.0 innings, while recording 19 complete games and seven shutouts. She ranked among the national leaders in multiple categories, including innings pitched, starts, and shutouts.

St. Joseph’s University Brooklyn outfielder Payton Walker also earned Third Team honors, continuing her strong career with the Bears. Walker hit .429 with a .509 on-base percentage and .670 slugging percentage, totaling 39 hits and 22 RBI, while ranking among the Skyline leaders in multiple offensive categories.
