2026 Softball All-Conference Teams Announced

NEW YORK | The Skyline Conference has announced its 2026 Softball All-Conference Team and major award winners, highlighted by Manhattanville University junior third baseman Alexa Lazur, who was selected as the Skyline Player of the Year.

Lazur anchored one of the conference’s most productive lineups, finishing among the Skyline leaders in multiple offensive categories. She posted a stellar .440 batting average, totaling 40 hits, 15 doubles, 2 home runs, and 24 RBI, while scoring 24 runs and registering a .620 slugging percentage. Against conference opponents, she had a Skyline-best .537 batting average and a .578 on-base percentage with 22 hits, eight doubles, 14 runs scored, and 13 RBI.

Mount Saint Mary senior Grace MacDonald earned Pitcher of the Year honors after a dominant campaign in the circle. MacDonald compiled a 15-10 record with a 2.58 ERA, striking out 149 batters across 146.1 innings pitched. In Skyline play, the senior finished with a 12-5 record, a 1.99 ERA, and 105 strikeouts in 95 innings.

The Rookie of the Year award went to Old Westbury freshman Olivia DeRose, who made an immediate impact in her debut season. DeRose posted an overall 11-6 record with a 2.51 ERA, striking out 130 batters in 103 innings pitched. She was 6-3 in conference play with a 1.66 ERA and 75 strikeouts in 59 innings in the circle.

Manhattanville head coach Dale Martin was named Coach of the Year after guiding the Valiants to a perfect 18-0 Skyline campaign. Under his leadership, Manhattanville topped the conference leaders in team batting average, runs scored, pitching efficiency, and fielding percentage.

First Team: Manhattanville led the way with four First Team selections, including Lazur, Breanna Ochoa, Isabella Tansey, and Emma Foster, while Farmingdale State, Mount Saint Mary, and Old Westbury were also well represented across the lineup. 

Second Team: The Second Team features standout contributors from across the Skyline, including multiple honorees from Manhattanville, Farmingdale State, Mount Saint Mary, and St. Joseph’s-Long Island.
