Foster turned in a dominant offensive week for the Valiants, batting .714 (10-for-14) with a .786 on-base percentage and .750 slugging percentage. She scored 11 runs, drove in six, and added a double while also swiping seven bases.


Pitcher and Rookie of the Week

Tahlia Smith, Manhattanville
Freshman, P/Utility; San Pedro, Calif. / Port of Los Angeles

Smith put together a strong two-way performance to sweep both honors. In the circle, she was dominant, going 3-0 with a 0.44 ERA and racking up 23 strikeouts over 16.0 innings. She held opponents to a meager .148 batting average, surrendering only one earned run all week. Smith was equally effective at the plate, batting .333 with four runs scored and three walks.
