New York, N.Y. | Top-seeded Yeshiva University captured the 2026 Skyline Conference Men’s Basketball Championship with a 79-72 victory over No. 2 Farmingdale State College on Sunday afternoon at the Max Stern Athletic Center.
Zevi Samet led all scorers with a dominant 36 points on 13-of-22 shooting, including six three-pointers, while adding four rebounds and four assists to his stat line in the title effort. Fellow Maccabee Yair Dovrat scored 15 points, and Dothan Bardichev chipped in nine off the bench, helping Yeshiva maintain the lead in the second half.
The Rams were paced by senior Sean Conroy, who scored 19 points on 7-of-20 shooting with five triples, and Michael Notias, who added 14 points. Robbie Siechen contributed 13 points for Farmingdale State, and Kentrell Evans finished with 10 points and 10 rebounds in the championship matchup.
Yeshiva trailed early before outscoring the Rams 58-49 in the second half, shooting 66.7 percent after intermission and connecting on 8 of 14 three-point attempts over the final 20 minutes. The Maccabees finished with 30 field goals on 61 attempts, 49.2 percent, and knocked down 10 of 16 free throws down the stretch to seal the conference crown.
Farmingdale State, which shot 42.2 percent overall and made nine three-pointers, battled throughout, but Yeshiva’s hot second half proved decisive.
With the victory, Yeshiva sits at 20-8 overall with a perfect 16-0 Skyline Conference record, earning the automatic bid to the 2026 NCAA Division III Men’s Basketball Tournament. Farmingdale State concludes its season at 24-4, 15-1 Skyline.
