Player of the Week

Luke Kruer, Merchant Marine
Sophomore, Outfield; Sellersburg, Ind./Our Lady of Providence


Kruer powered the Mariners' offense during their Florida trip, batting .563 (9-for-16) across five games with seven runs scored and seven RBI. The sophomore outfielder also added two doubles and four stolen bases, posting a .688 slugging percentage while recording at least one RBI in each game of the week.


Pitcher of the Week

Joe Demos, Maritime
Freshman, Pitcher; South Hempsted, N.Y./Kellenberg


Demos delivered a dominant outing on the mound, tossing a complete-game five-hit shutout in Maritime's 11-0 win over Baruch. The freshman struck out eight batters, allowing just three walks, and did not surrender a hit until the fourth inning to earn his first collegiate victory.

Rookie of the Week

Ryan Melton, Merchant Marine
Freshman, Catcher; Newnan, Ga./Trinity Christian


Melton led the Mariners' lineup with a .474 batting average (9-for-19) over five games during the team's Florida trip. The freshman catcher drove in nine runs and recorded five extra-base hits, four doubles and a triple, highlighted by a five-hit, six-RBI performance in Merchant Marine's win over Heidelberg.

Mike D'Angelo, Farmingdale St. - Batted .556 (5-for-9) with three runs scored and seven RBI, including a grand slam in the Rams' win over Lehman
Paul McNally, St. Joseph's (L.I.) - Tossed five hitless innings with six strikeouts to earn the win in SJLI's 10–0 victory over Yeshiva. 
Owen Weber, Maritime - Hit .550 (11-for-20) across five games with six runs scored, three RBI, and a .850 slugging percentage during the Privateers' week
