NEW YORK | A tightly contested race is expected in Skyline Conference softball this spring, as Manhattanville University and Farmingdale State have tied for the top position in the 2026 Skyline Conference Softball Preseason Coaches’ Poll. Both programs earned 77 points in voting conducted by the league’s head coaches.
The co-favorites enter the season following strong 2025 campaigns that saw each program contend for the conference crown. Farmingdale State captured the 2025 Skyline Championship after a dominant postseason run, while Manhattanville finished as the tournament runner-up.
Old Westbury was selected third with 60 points after securing a postseason berth a year ago, followed by Mount Saint Mary (54 points), which also qualified for the Skyline Championship tournament.
