WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY WEEKLY AWARDS - SEPTEMBER 29

Runner of the Week

Eleanor Romeo, USMMA
Freshman; Carson City, Nev./Carson


Romeo paced the Blue and Gray with a season-best fourth-place finish at the Queensborough Invitational with a time of 22:23.38. Her performance led the Mariners to a fourth-place finish, including a second-place finish among a competitive field of 14 Division III programs and a first-place finish among Skyline Conference opponents.

Rookie of the Week

Lili Telvi, USMMA
Freshman; Southampton, N.Y./Southampton


Telvi finished eighth overall in 22:58.27 at the Queensborough Invitational to break into the top 10 for the first time this season. Her effort led the Mariners to a fourth-place finish, including a second-place finish among a competitive field of 14 Division III programs and a first-place finish among Skyline Conference opponents.

Honorable Mention
Elizabeth Kurka, SJLI – Paced the Golden Eagles with a 15th overall finish at the Queensborough Invitational with a time of 23:29.1
Moselle Goldstein, Yeshiva – Showed out at the Queensborough Invitational, finishing 13th out of 159 runners in the 5k, leading the Maccabees to a 12th/20 finish
Cindy Chen, Maritime – Led the Privateers to 10th place in the team standings at the Queensborough Invitational on Sunday. She finished 16th overall, completing the 5000-meter course in 23:36.02
