WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY WEEKLY AWARDS - OCTOBER 20

Yun finished third overall at Saturday’s St. Joseph’s Invitational, which featured 26 total programs including eight Skyline schools. The senior paced all Skyline runners and was the second Division III finisher in the field, clocking a time of 21:31.2—over five seconds faster than the next-closest conference competitor. Yun’s performance helped guide the Gryphons to a runner-up team finish, the top result among all Skyline institutions.

Rookie of the Week
 
Amelia Vitale, Farmingdale
Freshman; Hauppauge, N.Y./Hauppauge


Vitale was the top Skyline freshman finisher at Saturday’s St. Joseph’s-Long Island Invitational, completing the 5,000-meter course at Sunken Meadow State Park in a time of 21:37.8.

Honorable Mention

Elizabeth Kurka, St. Joseph's-Long Island – Kurka led the Golden Eagles at the St. Joseph's (L.I.) Invitational with a 13th overall finish clocking in with a time of 21:59.3
Cindy Chen, Maritime – Chen placed 10th overall at the St. Joseph's LI Invitational on Saturday turning in a time of 21:52.1
