Cindy Chen, Maritime
Sophomore; Huntington Station, N.Y./Walt Whitman

Chen paced the Privateers in their season opener at the Adelphi Invitational, crossing the 6000-meter course in 27:02.7 for a 55th-place finish. Her effort helped lift Maritime to 12th overall and second among Division III programs in the field. 

Rookie of the Week
Julia Vitello, Farmingdale St.
Freshman; Webster, N.Y./Webster Schoeder

Vitello made an immediate mark in her collegiate debut, finishing as the top Division III freshman at the Adelphi Panthers XC Invitational. She covered the 6k Bethpage State Park course in 29:18.1.

Honorable Mention
Whitney Hall, Sarah Lawrence - Hall turned in a strong showing at the Panthers XC Invite at Adelphi, completing the 6K in 28:42.7 for a 72nd-place finish
Kenedy Nutter, Sarah Lawrence - Nutter made her collegiate debut at the Panthers XC Invite, finishing the 6K at Adelphi University in 40:12.9
Michaela Stack, Mount Saint Mary - Stack closed out the Fred Pavlich Invitational with a 35th-place finish in the 5k, crossing the line in 23:12.5
