Liam Buckley, Farmingdale State
Junior, Forward; Manhasset, N.Y./Manhasset


Buckley powered the Rams to a 75–73 upset victory over No. 11 Wesleyan. The junior led all scorers with 20 points on 8-of-13 shooting, including a sharp 4-of-7 from three, while adding six rebounds and three steals. With FSC clinging to a two-point lead in the final second, Buckley sealed the statement win by deflecting Wesleyan’s potential game-tying inbounds pass with 0.3 left on the clock.

Rookie of the Week
 
Jaiden Gaston, St. Joseph’s - Long Island
Sophomore, Guard; Ozone Park, N.Y./Monsignor McClancy


Gaston averaged 14.5 points, 2.0 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 2.0 steals, while shooting 41.7% from three as SJLI went 1-1. Gaston scored 16 points with three triples against nationally ranked No. 23 Drew, then added 13 points, three rebounds, two assists, and two steals in a win over York.

Honorable Mention
Kenny Rodriguez, St. Joseph’s-Long Island - Rodriguez posted back-to-back double-doubles, averaging 17.0 points, 12.0 rebounds, and 5.0 assists in a 1-1 week for the Golden Eagles. He totaled 16 points and 11 boards against No. 23 Drew before following with 18 points and 13 rebounds in a win over York
Isiah Middleton, Manhattanville - Middleton earned All-Tournament honors at the Sig Makofski Invitational after averaging 18.5 points and 8.5 rebounds on 61 percent shooting. The junior recorded 20 points and eight boards vs. Union before adding 17 points and nine rebounds against Sage
Dylon Stanley, Farmingdale State - Stanley was a key contributor in FSC’s win over No. 11 Wesleyan, scoring eight points, grabbing seven rebounds, and blocking three shots in the Rams’ biggest victory of the season so far
