D3hoops.com RELEASE
NEW YORK, N.Y. | Two Skyline Conference men’s basketball student-athletes were recognized among the region’s top performers as D3hoops.com announced its 2025-26 All-Region 3 Teams.
Leading the way was Zevi Samet of Yeshiva University, who was named the Region 3 Player of the Year and a first team All-Region selection. Joining him on the All-Region squad were Jake Devaney of SUNY Maritime, who earned second team All-Region honors, and Michael Notias of Farmingdale State, who was selected to the third team
Samet’s recognition comes after a standout senior season in which he averaged 23.8 points per game while shooting 48.7 percent from the field and 40.8 percent from three-point range. The dynamic guard helped lead Yeshiva to a perfect 16-0 Skyline Conference record, the Skyline Championship, and a run to the NCAA Division III Sweet 16, marking just the second time in program history the Maccabees advanced to that stage of the tournament.
Already one of the most decorated players in Skyline history, Samet also collected Skyline Conference Player of the Year honors and first team All-Conference recognition, while earning multiple conference weekly awards throughout the season. With the Region 3 Player of the Year honor, Samet also becomes eligible for D3hoops.com All-America consideration.
SUNY Maritime sophomore forward Jake Devaney earned All-Region 3 second team honors after another standout season for the Privateers. Devaney averaged 18.1 points and a team-best 7.6 rebounds per game, while also recording 39 blocks, the third-most in the Skyline Conference. He reached the 20-point mark 11 times during the season and finished with four double-doubles, helping lead Maritime to a 13-13 overall record and a 9-7 mark in Skyline play.
Farmingdale State senior guard Michael Notias was also recognized following a strong campaign for the Rams, earning third team honors. The Manhasset native averaged 18.5 points per game, while adding 4.8 rebounds and 2.6 assists per contest, leading Farmingdale State in scoring and ranking among the Skyline Conference leaders throughout the season. Notias also shot 47.9 percent from the field and 37.6 percent from three-point range, finishing the season with multiple 20-point performances.
