Mount Saint Vincent and St. Joseph’s-Long Island Advance to Skyline Women’s Soccer Championship Final

NEW YORK | The 2025 Skyline Conference Women’s Soccer Championship semifinals saw top-seeded Mount Saint Vincent and third-seeded St. Joseph’s University-Long Island each earn victories on Wednesday evening to advance to Saturday’s championship final. The Dolphins rallied past Mount Saint Mary in Riverdale, while the Golden Eagles shut out U.S. Merchant Marine Academy on the road in Kings Point.

(1) Mount Saint Vincent 4, (5) Mount Saint Mary 2 — Riverdale, N.Y.

Top-seeded Mount Saint Vincent erupted for four second-half goals to rally past Mount Saint Mary, 4–2, and secure its place in the Skyline Championship Final.

The visiting Knights grabbed the early lead in the 17th minute when Kaitlin Hansen finished a feed from Lily Tanko, and later added a late tally from Tanko in the 88th minute. Between those goals, the Dolphins stormed ahead with an explosive offensive surge.

Jazzlyn Cedillo started the comeback seconds after halftime, leveling the match with a well-placed strike in the 47th minute. Dana DeDominicis followed with the go-ahead goal in the 65th, before Eva Puentes converted off a Cedillo assist in the 77th to extend the lead. Ima Kellerman capped the effort in the 90th minute, finishing a pass from Ariana Hernandez.

Mount Saint Vincent outshot MSMC 18–8 and held a 6–2 advantage in corner kicks. Goalkeepers Kaitlyn Grady and Javiera Sanchez combined for four saves in the win, while Elizabeth Lennane stopped eight shots for the Knights.

(3) St. Joseph’s-Long Island 2, (2) U.S. Merchant Marine Academy 0 — Kings Point, N.Y.

Third-seeded St. Joseph’s-Long Island continued its postseason run with a 2–0 road victory over U.S. Merchant Marine Academy at Bartoszek Field.

The Golden Eagles struck first in the 18th minute when Emily Farrington scored her sixth goal of the season off an assist from Savannah Modica. They doubled their lead early in the second half after a deflected ball resulted in an own goal.

Kristin Vahle recorded her second straight postseason shutout with three saves, anchoring a defensive unit that limited the Mariners to eight total shots. Eva Fields finished with six saves for USMMA.
