Women's Soccer Weekly Awards - September 8

Offensive Player of the Week
Jenna Biondo, Farmingdale St. 
Sophomore, Midfielder; North Babylon, N.Y./North Babylon


Biondo sparked the Rams' come-from-behind 2-1 victory over defending MASCAC champion Westfield State, assisting on the equalizer before converting the game-winning penalty kick with just over one minute remaining. She finished the week with one goal and one assist while helping Farmingdale secure head coach Chris Roche's 250th career victory.

Defensive Player of the Week
Kristin Vahle, St. Joseph’s - Long Island
Graduate, Keeper; Farmingville, N.Y./St. Anthony’s


Vahle totaled 14 saves while allowing just six goals across three matches, highlighted by a shutout victory over Yeshiva. She capped the week with a 10-save performance against WestConn and tied the program record for career shutouts.

Rookie of the Week
Emani Abdool, Maritime
Freshman, Forward; Islandia, N.Y./St. Anthony’s


Abdool contributed to all four of Maritime's goals during the opening week, totaling three goals and one assist. She scored twice in her collegiate debut before adding a goal and an assist in a 2-2 draw at Brooklyn.

Katie Beaver, Sarah Lawrence – Recorded six goals and two assists over two matches, including a four-goal, two-assist performance against Yeshiva while becoming the program's all-time career goals leader
Gabrielle Billetz, Manhattanville – Made six saves in her first collegiate appearance in goal, returning to the position for the first time since high school
Maddy Jones, St. Joseph’s (L.I.) – Scored two goals in her first collegiate start, leading the Golden Eagles to a 9-0 victory over Yeshiva
