Yeshiva Men's Basketball Travels to Israel

TEL AVIV, ISRAEL I Flying for over 10 hours nearly halfway across the world, the Yeshiva University men's basketball team has traveled to Tel Aviv for the "Bring Them Home" tour, an endeavor made possible by Athletes for Israel.

The Maccabees have wasted no time in giving back to their Israeli brothers and sisters, devoting their first full day to those affected by the October 7th attacks.

After an early breakfast, the team visited Sheba Hospital, having the chance to meet both wounded IDF heroes, as well as survivors of the Hamas terror attacks. Particularly impactful, Yeshiva had the opportunity to spend time with Mia Schem, a French-Israeli dual national who was taken hostage on 10/7, but who has since been freed thanks to IDF efforts.

Continuing their tour after lunch at Tel Aviv's world famous Caramel Market, the Macs continued to pay tribute to the victims of October Seventh, visiting both Hostage Square and the Nova Memorial Site. At Hostage Square, the Macs had the privilege of hearing from the families of hostages and participating in the call for their release, while at the Nova Memorial Yeshiva were able to pay their respects to the victims of the Nova Music Festival.

Rounding out a busy day, the Macs hosted a youth clinic at the Kfar Maccabiah, helping the next generation of Jewish basketball players hone their skills both on and off the court.
