Offensive Player of the Week

Nicolosi (above) had the third 10-point game of her career, finishing with five goals and five assists against Albertus Magnus en route to being named Skyline Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this spring … She completed a hat trick just five minutes into the game and also recorded two ground balls and a caused turnover in the win ... She tallied six points on three goals and three assists in the victory at Ramapo, scoring with 15 seconds left in the first half to start a game-ending 11-0 run, as the Privateers turned an 8-5 deficit into a 16-8 triumph.

Schmoger (above) went 2-0 in goal this week … She faced 46 shots, allowing eight goals and making 27 saves … She also tallied nine ground balls and four caused turnovers … In the Panthers' 8-6 win over Cedar Crest, she finished with a career-tying mark of 22 saves and a .786 save percentage.  

Rookie of the Week

Pietra Cabral, Manhattanville   
Freshman, Attack; Mineola, N.Y./Mineola

Cabral (below) has now scored a goal in six straight games to begin her collegiate career after an eight-point week ... She scored five goals and collected three assists in a pair of contests, including a season-high six points with her first career hat trick and three assists versus Wilkes … She ended her week with two more tallies against King's for her second straight Skyline Rookie of the Week honor.

Manhattanville senior attack Marisa D’Angelo helped the Valiants notch a program-record six wins to open up the year with 12 points in a pair of contests; she scored nine goals and dished out three assists … Purchase junior attack Alyssa Kozak led the Panthers to a 2-0 mark, finishing with nine points (8g, 1a), 15 ground balls, 10 draw controls and one caused turnover … Mount Saint Mary senior attack Victoria Ward helped the Knights to a win over Castleton to finish off a 1-1 week in non-conference play; she erupted for eight points, scoring five times and assisting on three goals in a 16-13 victory over the Spartans … U.S. Merchant Marine Academy sophomore Lauren Jablonowski totaled four points on two goals and two assists against Salve Regina … St. Joseph’s-Long Island senior midfielder Jamie Trowbridge led the Golden Eagles in the lone game of the week with four goals and one assist for a total of five points … U.S. Merchant Marine Academy freshman midfielder Samantha Atwood averaged 10.0 draw controls with a 62.5 SOG% … U.S. Merchant Marine Academy freshman goalie Amber Heverly made 12 stops in a win against Salve Regina for a save percentage of 0.667 … Manhattanville senior midfielder Maura Kelly won nine draw controls, collected six ground balls and caused three turnovers in a pair of victories … Mount Saint Mary junior defender Kate Crooker finished a home win over Castleton with seven caused turnovers, which ties her for the highest mark in a single game in program history … Maritime junior midfielder Jenna Lesiewicz finished with six draw controls, three caused turnovers and two ground balls while also notching an assist against Albertus Magnus before capping the week with a season-high six caused turnovers in the win at Ramapo.
