Hurowitz (above) earns his first Player of the Week after being named to the All-Tournament Team at the Trinity (Conn.) Holiday Invitational … He averaged 14.5 ppg and 7.5 rpg for the Rams, who defeated Endicott on opening night before narrowly falling to the once-beaten host Bantams in the championship game … In the title game against Trinity, Hurowitz starred, registering 24 points (10-of-15 FG, 3-of-4 3FG), while grabbing nine rebounds and swiping two steals.

Rookie of the Week

Zevi Samet, Yeshiva
Sophomore, Guard; Monsey, N.Y./Torah Academy of Bergen County

For the fourth time this season, Samet (below) takes home Rookie of the Week honors … He posted 20 points, two boards, and just as many steals against 9-2 Tufts University that received 36 votes in the D3Hoops.com national poll.
 
Honor Roll

Yeshiva sophomore guard Max Zakheim scored a game-high 24 points on 6-of-11 shooting from the field, and converted 10 free throws out of 13 attempts against Tufts … St. Joseph’s-LI junior guard Xavier Allen paced the Golden Eagles with a double-double of 18 points and 10 rebounds in the team’s lone game of the week … Mount Saint Mary junior guard Ryan Graham scored a season-high and matched his career-high with 18 points at Marywood … Maritime senior guard Ryan Donovan averaged 17.5 points and 6.0 rebounds at the WestConn Tournament, finishing with 17 points and five boards in a 77-68 win over Coast Guard before capping the week with a team-high 18 points and seven rebounds in a loss to WestConn … St. Joseph’s-Brooklyn senior guard Evan Sirakis averaged 19.5 points at the Centenary University Holiday Tournament; exploding for 30 points, five boards, four assists, and three steals in the team’s victory over the host Cyclones … St. Joseph’s-Brooklyn freshman guard Jonathan Reno put up 21 points to go with five assists against William Paterson, averaging 12 points, three assists, and 3.5 rebounds at the Centenary University Holiday Tournament … Farmingdale State freshman guard Michael Notias shot 7 of 9 from the floor while averaging 7.5 ppg over 14 mpg during the Rams' two-game, runner-up weekend at the Trinity (Conn.) Holiday Invitational.
