Offensive Player of the Week

Repeating as Offensive Player of the Week, Wohner tallied a team-best 19 points in the Mariners’ two wins, scoring 13 goals and dishing out six assists... netted nine goals and added three assists in a 19-4 victory over Mount Saint Vincent on Tuesday...followed that with a five-goal, three-assist performance at home on Saturday in USMMA’s 15-8 win over Maritime....she now ranks second in the NCAA in points per game (8.36) and fourth in goals per game (5.82)...she also caused four turnovers and picked up five ground balls over the two games.

Defensive Player of the Week

Jillian Hummell, St. Joseph’s-Long Island
Senior, Goalkeeper, East Patchogue, N.Y./St. John the Baptist
Went 2-0 between the pipes for the Golden Eagles last week...recorded 25 saves with a .694 save percentage while allowing just 5.50 goals per game...turned away 14 shots in a 9-6 win over Mount Saint Mary before making 11 saves in a 15-5 win over Mount Saint Vincent.

Sophomore, Midfield, Huntington, N.Y./St. Anthony’s
Recorded eight points on seven goals and an assist in a 2-0 week..had seven draw controls while collecting five ground balls and causing a pair of turnovers... she finished with three goals, four ground balls, and two draw controls in a 9-6 win over Mount Saint Mary before recording four goals and an assist with five draw controls in the 15-5 win over Mount Saint Vincent.

Victoria Ward of Mount Saint Mary had five goals and three assists against Purchase on Friday...Sarah Wright contributed to four of Maritime's eight goals in a loss to Merchant Marine, netting a hat trick while also handing out an assist to go with seven draw controls, three ground balls, and two caused turnovers...Jamie Trowbridge led St. Joseph’s-Long Island with 12 points on nine goals and three assists in a 2-0 week while also recording a team-high eight draw controls, seven caused turnovers, and six ground balls...Lara Keenan led Manhattanville with a four-goal effort and had eight draw controls to set the program career record with 205 in a win over Purchase...Maddie Schmidt led Merchant Marine with nine caused turnovers and 13 ground balls in two wins last week - 19-4 over Mount Saint Vincent on Tuesday and 15-8 over Maritime at home on Sunday, a game in which she was part of the staunch defensive effort that held the Privateers to just eight goals (tying a season-low for Maritime) and causing six turnovers while also chipping in offensively after a quick-clear with an assist...Manhattanville’s Kasey Molito collected four ground balls and caused three turnovers on the defense and scored her first two goals of the season on offense...Karlie Ferrucci of Mount Saint Mary had five goals and two assists in a win over Purchase.
