Last week's rookie of the week collects his first player of the week honor after continuing his incredible start to the season … Samet (above), who entered the week leading the Skyline in scoring (29.8 ppg), recorded a 40-point game in a league victory over St. Joseph's-Brooklyn – the fourth most in a single game by a first-year player in Yeshiva history … The phenom drained 11 triples out of 16 attempts from beyond the arc against the Bears … Samet added a game-high 31 points against Farmingdale State to close the week.
Rookie of the Week
Jonathan Reno, St. Joseph's-Brooklyn
Freshman, Guard; Staten Island, N.Y./Moore Catholic
Reno (below) dropped 28 points against Yeshiva in the Bears' conference opener … Against the Macs, the freshman guard shot 9 of 11 from the free-throw line and forced two steals … He averaged 16 points and three assists over a three-game week for St. Joseph's-Brooklyn … Reno is currently ranked sixth in the conference in scoring.

Farmingdale State senior guard/forward
Nick Hurowitz led four Rams in double-figure scoring at Yeshiva, with 21 points on 7-for-10 shooting, hauling in seven rebounds and dishing a career-high six assists in FSC's second-straight win at the Max Stern Athletic Center … Mount Saint Vincent junior guard
Joshua Cabezudo averaged 23.5 points, 9.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and shot 54% from the floor to go along with three steals in a win over Hunter and a loss to CCNY … Manhattanville senior guard
Tommy Lotito averaged 16.3 points for the Valiants over their three-game stretch, including a win in the opening round of the A.J. Buchanan Classic against William Paterson, where he poured in 22 points, shooting .667 from the field en route to all-tournament honors … St. Joseph's-Long Island junior guard
Xavier Allen averaged 17 points, eight rebounds and six steals on the week, shooting 43.3% from the field, highlighted by 21 points and 10 rebounds in a win over York … St. Joseph's-Brooklyn senior forward
Joe Sheehan averaged a double-double in the Bears' three-game week; including a 17-point performance on 7-of-10 shooting against Yeshiva and a 10-point, 13-rebound effort against Coast Guard … Mount Saint Mary sophomore forward
Jayden Figueroa totaled 10 points and eight rebounds at Bard to go along with four blocks before closing out the week with 13 caroms and two more blocks at Vassar.
