NEW YORK | The Skyline Conference's head women's lacrosse coaches have cast their votes on the 2021 edition of their all-conference team, and Farmingdale State College senior attack Courtney Gendels and SUNY Maritime College junior defender Katherine Buser have been tabbed as Offensive and Defensive Players of the Year, respectively.

United States Merchant Marine Academy freshman midfielder Reagan Jetter earned Rookie of the Year kudos, while Farmingdale State bench boss Erin Calkins was voted as Coach of the Year by her peers.

Gendels helped lead the Rams to their fourth Skyline Conference crown this past weekend, including a six-point display (4 g, 2 a) in the championship final on Saturday against Merchant Marine. The Wantagh, N.Y. native will enter the 2021 NCAA Division III Championship with Skyline-best totals of 40 goals and 53 points.

Buser (Babylon, N.Y.) led the Privateers on the defensive side of the ball, as Maritime finished in second place in the Skyline regular-season standings with an impressive 5-1 record. She scooped 10 ground balls and caused six turnovers, playing sound defense on a side that allowed 10 goals per outing.

Jetter scored seven points in the Mariners' championship final appearance Saturday, and holds Skyline leaderboard rankings in points (2nd, 34), goals (5th, 24), assists (7th, 10), ground balls (t-9th, 16) and draw controls (9th - 27) -- all in just six games played for the La Jolla, Calif. native.

Calkins is in her ninth season at the helm of the Rams program, and guided FSC to its fourth conference title over the weekend. The 2007 Eastern Connecticut State University alumna brings her side into the 2021 NCAA Division III Women's Lacrosse Championship with an unblemished record of 8-0 on the campaign.
