Women's Soccer All-Conference Team Announced

Farmingdale State freshman, Jazzmin Terrell
NEW YORK | The Skyline Conference's 11 head women's soccer coaches have cast their votes on the 2021 all-conference team, and Farmingdale State College freshman attacking player Jazzmin Terrell was selected as both Offensive Player, and Rookie, of the Year in the balloting process.

Her teammate, sophomore central defender Taylor Berry, was named Defensive Player of the Year. The Rams' mentor, Chris Roche, along with Manhattanville College bench boss Graham Kennett, were named Co-Coaches of the Year in the voting by their peers.

Terrell (West Babylon, N.Y.) took the conference by storm this fall, and enters the 2021 NCAA Division III Championship with 13 goals (third in Skyline), six assists and 32 points (T-3rd). She has shown timely scoring as well for the conference-champion Rams, as she is tied atop the conference ledger with four game-winning goals. Terrell earned one Offensive Player of the Week citation on the season, as well as three Rookie of the Week accolades.

Berry (Glen Head, N.Y.) has directed a Rams defense that conceded just twice, along with allowing 20 shots on target, in Skyline play. She earned the conference's Defensive Player of the Week award on October 25, which was the second of three-consecutive honors to end the regular season for the Skyline Conference champions.

Kennett's seventh season at the helm of the Valiants program was a successful one, as he directed his side to a 10-4-2 overall record and the conference championship's No. 2 seed after going 8-1-1 in Skyline play. The University of East Anglia (U.K.) alumnus is assisted by Edasia Martinez and keeper coach, Jason Torres.

Roche, a 1985 graduate of Scranton, has the Rams entering NCAA Championship play with a 15-7 overall record in 2021. Farmingdale State conceded just twice against conference competition on the season, with both markers coming on penalty kicks. Roche's side earned Farmingdale State's 13th Skyline title last weekend; he is assisted by Fred Pavey, Ashley Monzillo and Rachel Florenz.
