Balbin was the difference-maker in a crucial 2-0 week for the Gryphons, tallying a game-winning goal and an assist. The senior netted the decisive strike in a 1-0 upset victory over Farmingdale State, bending in a perfectly placed shot from inside the box to hand the Rams their first conference loss. She followed that performance with an assist in a 7-0 win over Purchase, helping SLC improve to 5-3 in Skyline play.

Sophomore, Keeper; Whittier, Calif./La Serna
Vaca delivered a standout two-way performance for the Gryphons, recording a shutout in goal and scoring a goal of her own during the team’s 2-0 week. The sophomore made five saves in Wednesday’s 1-0 win over Farmingdale State, holding one of the league’s top-scoring offenses scoreless. She capped her week by finding the back of the net in a 7-0 victory over Purchase to secure SLC’s fourth straight win
Rookie of the Week
Natalia Seminatore, Farmingdale State
Freshman, Midfield; Lexington, KY/Lexington Christian
Seminatore continued her strong debut campaign with a steady defensive presence in the Rams’ backline, contributing to a 1-0 shutout victory at Mount Saint Mary. The freshman helped limit the Knights to just two shots on goal and was instrumental in the Rams’ quick transitions out of the defensive third
Honorable Mention
Hailey Stork, Farmingdale State - Posted a two-save shutout in a 1-0 win at Mount Saint Mary after stopping three shots midweek versus Sarah Lawrence. The senior goalkeeper now owns four clean sheets on the year and lowered her season goals-against average to 0.88
Stephanie Sanchez, Manhattanville - Scored and assisted on Senior Day in a 2-0 win over Maritime, finishing with three points to lead the Valiants’ attack in their lone match of the week.
