NEW YORK | The Skyline Conference's 12 head men's basketball coaches have cast their votes in the 2019-20 edition of the preseason coaches poll, and Purchase College, SUNY and Yeshiva University find themselves voted to finish atop the North and South Divisions, respectively.

On the North side of the table, Purchase (15-11, 13-7 Skyline in 2018-19) returns junior guard Elijah Lott, whose 16.7 points per game average ranked No. 9 on the conference leaderboard one year ago. Head coach Kyle Martin's Panthers received nine of the possible 12 first-place votes (teams are not permitted to vote for themselves in the poll), receiving 63 voting points in the process.

Fresh off its first appearance in the conference championship one year ago, Sarah Lawrence College (14-12, 12-8) earned two first-place votes and 53 points, while conference returnee Manhattanville College (11-14, 5-9 MAC Freedom; 48 pts.) grabbed the other top tally. Mount Saint Mary College (40), U.S. Merchant Marine Academy (27) and SUNY Maritime College (15) round out the North Division poll.

Yeshiva (19-8, 16-4 Skyline) earned all 11 possible first-place votes to check in with 66 points in the South Division. Senior forward Gabriel Leifer was the Skyline's Player of the Year in 2018-19, and recently was tabbed as a fourth-team preseason All-America by D3hoops.com after averaging 18.1 points, 12.0 rebounds, 5.4 assists and 2.4 blocked shots per contest one year ago -- with the latter three topping the conference leaderboard.

Defending Skyline champion Farmingdale State College (20-8, 16-4) registered one first-place vote and 54 points in the poll after toppling the Maccabees in last season's championship final, with SUNY Old Westbury (46), St. Joseph's College-Brooklyn (36), College of Mount Saint Vincent (27) and St. Joseph's College-Long Island (17) completing the slate.

The 2020 Skyline Conference Men's Basketball Championship will take place on campus sites, commencing on Feb. 25, with semifinals and final action taking place on Feb. 27 and 29, respectively. The winner of the conference championship will earn the Skyline's automatic bid to the following week's 2020 NCAA Division III Men's Basketball Championship.
