Defending Champion Manhattanville University Tops 2026 Skyline Women's Tennis Preseason Poll

NEW YORK | After capturing the 2025 Skyline Conference Women's Tennis Championship, Manhattanville University has been selected as the favorite to repeat in 2026, earning the top spot in the Skyline Conference Women's Tennis Preseason Coaches' Poll with 47 points and five first-place votes.

The Valiants enter the season looking to defend their conference crown after defeating Farmingdale State in last fall's Skyline Championship final to secure the program's second conference title in the last three seasons.

Farmingdale State, last year's runner-up, was selected second with 45 points and three first-place votes after another outstanding season that saw the Rams capture the Skyline regular-season title before advancing to the conference championship match.

St. Joseph's-Long Island was picked third with 35 points, while Purchase (27 points) and Yeshiva (26 points) rounded out a competitive top five.

Sarah Lawrence checked in sixth with 21 points, followed by Mount Saint Mary (12 points) and Mount Saint Vincent (11 points) to complete the preseason rankings.

The 2026 Skyline Conference Women's Tennis Championship is scheduled to start October 21.
