Offensive Player of the Week

Nick Uzakewicz, Maritime

Uzakewicz totaled nine points on five goals and four assists during a 1-1 week for the Privateers. In an 11-5 conference win over Manhattanville, he recorded five points (2G, 3A), including his 100th career point on a game-tying goal in the second quarter. He followed that performance with his first hat trick of the season and an assist against Stevens, accounting for four of Maritime's seven goals in the contest.

Tucker Kuhn, Merchant Marine
Freshman, Face-Off; Sellersburg, Ind./Our Lady of Providence

Kuhn was a dominant force at the face-off "X" to lead the Mariners to a massive 2-0 week, including a signature 12-8 victory over reigning conference champion Farmingdale State. Against the Rams, Kuhn won 16-of-22 draws and collected a game-high 14 ground balls, while also netting his first goal of the season. Earlier in the week, he helped USMMA stifle St. Joseph’s-Long Island, winning 14-of-17 face-offs. 

Rookie of the Week

Nathan Mangus, Merchant Marine
Freshman, Midfield; Sugar Land, Texas/Lutheran South Academy

Mangus continued his breakout freshman campaign by totaling seven points across two crucial Skyline victories. The Texas native sparked the Mariners' offense in a 20-2 win over St. Joseph’s-Long Island with a goal and two assists. He saved his best for the spotlight against Farmingdale State, recording two goals and two assists for a four-point night.

Owen Barcus, Merchant Marine - Crucial in the upset over Farmingdale State, netting a hat trick and an assist to lead the Mariners with four points
Cristian Scaffaro, Maritime - Anchored the Privateers' defense with 25 total saves over two games, including 12 stops in a non-conference win and a stellar .615 save percentage against Manhattanville
Joey Forchelli, Farmingdale St. - Registered four goals and scooped four ground balls against Mount Saint Vincent
