Maritime, Merchant Marine Advance to Skyline Men’s Lacrosse Championship Final

NEW YORK | No. 3 Maritime and top-seeded Merchant Marine advanced to the 2026 Skyline Conference Men’s Lacrosse Championship with semifinal victories on Thursday.

Maritime earned a 13-5 road win over No. 2 Farmingdale State, using a five-goal first quarter to take control early. The Privateers led 5-2 after the opening period and held Farmingdale to one goal in each of the final three quarters.

Ryan Hannaford led Maritime with seven points on four goals and three assists, while Tyler Mahood added two goals and three assists. Nick Uzakewicz and Thomas McCarvill each scored twice. Maritime also dominated possession, winning 18-of-22 faceoffs, with Christopher Laino going 16-for-20 at the X and collecting 11 ground balls.

In Kings Point, No. 1 Merchant Marine powered past No. 4 Manhattanville, 26-3. The Mariners led 4-0 after the first quarter and broke the game open with an 11-goal second period to take a 15-0 halftime advantage.

Owen Barcus finished with eight points on five goals and three assists, while Jack DeTommaso added five goals and one assist. Brendan Ring totaled four goals and two assists, and Nathan Mangus added three goals and one helper. Merchant Marine held a 63-21 advantage in shots and went 24-for-32 on faceoffs.

Maritime and Merchant Marine will meet in the Skyline Conference Championship Final on Saturday, May 2 at 12:00 PM.
